I am a native West Virginian, and I live in the same town I was raised in. My wife, Marcie, and I have four adult children, and we currently have three grandchildren. We have two indoor cats and two outdoor cats. For those of you who are dog lovers, I can understand that as well. I have owned several dogs in my day, but our current circumstances won't support such a luxury right now.

I am a retired public educator. For 35 years, I served as a classroom teacher, a reading specialist, a school administrator, and as a district office personnel. Teaching was my second career. Being a minister as a young man did not provide the means to support a family. Being an elementary school teacher barely did! As a recently retired teacher, I have decided to try my hand at blogging and creating podcasts.
